Drills for Cardio Tennis

The suggested Cardio Tennis Program is broken into 3 key segments:

• 5-10 minute warm-up segment
• 30-50 minute Cardio segment
• 5-10 minute cool down segment

The great thing about Cardio Tennis is you can use you own creative approach in creating great cardio drills. You may have been running some of these drills previously. Cardio Tennis allows you to use some of what you have done in the past, and combine it with some other new features to give players "Heart Pumping Fitness".

You should constantly introduce new drills to your players to avoid boredom. Remember, we are competing against treadmills, elliptical machines, bikes, etc., which are boring exercises. Don't let your program become boring.

What about ball machines?

Ball machines can be used in Cardio Tennis but are not as effective as a human professional. Remember, a pro should vary their feeds to players based on their physical ability and physical condition. Ball machines can be an effective tool especially if you have players of similar ability in the same class.
